Common areas are the first thing guests see
The lobby, front desk, elevators, corridors, public restrooms and shared lounges or breakfast areas set the first impression. Rank them by traffic, and share check-in and check-out peaks so the busiest spaces are attended before and after those periods. Identify delicate finishes, display pieces and any area that cannot be closed while guests are present.
Back-of-house is a separate scope
Staff corridors, break rooms, employee restrooms, offices and loading areas have different access rules and safety procedures from guest areas. List them separately, along with where supplies and equipment may be stored. Keeping the scopes apart makes it clear who is responsible for what and stops guest-area routines from being applied to working spaces.
Meetings, events and supplemental housekeeping
Ballrooms and meeting rooms need cleaning around the event calendar, and a reset between events is a different task from routine upkeep.
